Given the number of hours we dedicate to our professional lives, situations can arise that pose a health risk. Sometimes, these can be related to substance use, both during work hours and at times before or after.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to a study by the International Labour Organization<\/strong>, <strong>between 20% and 25% of workplace accidents are due to causes related to substance use.<\/strong> The study also defines the sectors most affected by these causes as construction and hospitality. <a href=\"https:\/\/ccadicciones.es\/prevencion-e-intervencion-de-la-drogodependencia-en-el-trabajo\/\">To avoid and prevent<\/a> this problem, which negatively affects workers, it is important to consider:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish a clear policy regarding the consumption of psychoactive substances.<\/li>\n<li>Clearly establish the consequences of violating the rules (warning, suspension, or dismissal).<\/li>\n<li>Involve the company doctor or psychologist or rehabilitation centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Everything has a solution<\/h3>\n<p>Substance use in the workplace poses a risk, but it has a solution. The care of the workspace must be taken into account by both the worker and the employer.
