Neither alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, sedatives, antidepressants, amphetamines, nor any of the trendy substances are going to make us live better. These can be opportune days to ask for help.
Christmas is the time of year when we are most sensitive, when we most miss people or situations that are already beyond our reach. But Christmas is also the time of year when we multiply meetings, lunches, and dinners to be with friends, colleagues, and family, celebrating and full of good wishes. We can make these dates a time for reflection, responsibility, and building the future.
At Christmas, there is a risk of substance consumption. But it is also ideal for becoming aware of the need for change or the value of the effort of having changed.
There will be a Christmas Eve and a Christmas Day. And there will be a New Year’s Eve and a New Year. Let us celebrate it with the awareness and conviction that each occasion brings us a new opportunity and that we can take advantage of it. The determination of each individual is essential; having the appropriate help to move forward is also necessary.
The best gift this Christmas will be to make these holidays a time to live fully. Or to prepare ourselves to do so if we have not been able to until now. From CCAdicciones we thank all the fathers, mothers, brothers, spouses, friends, relatives or otherwise, who care for and support addicted individuals in their difficult situation and all those who work so that they find the way out of their addictions. After a great 2015, an even better 2016
For CCAdicciones, the year we leave behind has been a great one, with the expansion of our network of centers (Asturias, Madrid) and the inauguration of CCAdicciones Roda de Berà, the new detoxification and addiction treatment center located in the province of Tarragona.
However, in this 2015, the most gratifying thing has been, once again, seeing the fruits of our work. And seeing how the 86% recovery rate of the treatments carried out at CCAdicciones continues to improve.
