The annual 2022 partners’ meeting of CCAdicciones was held last Friday, October 21 at the detox clinic located in Roda de Berà (Tarragona). It is customary for representatives from CCAdicciones’ partner centres and associated professionals to meet once a year to continue working to improve for the future and offer excellent services.
This year’s meeting was special, as 2022 is marked by an important event in the clinic’s calendar: the Roda de Berà centre is celebrating 15 years in operation, helping people overcome their addictions.
The purpose of the annual meetings
The partners’ meeting is a key event in the progress and development of specialised centres in addiction and treatment. It helps strengthen cohesion between the different centres and the professionals working in each of them, unify the working methodology, share experiences, explore new trends in addiction treatment, etc. In short, it is about sharing everything experienced in relation to addictions over the last year: new drugs, new methods, treatments, etc.
Partners’ Meeting 2022: What was discussed at this meeting?
At this year’s meeting, special emphasis was placed on the treatment methodology. CCAdicciones is characterised by having a way of working designed by and for people. It offers its own treatment after years of experience and work, and after seeing first-hand what works, what does not work, and what can be done to improve… We are always constantly learning and improving. Detox treatment is always accompanied by intensive support and special techniques, always supervised by a medical team. The result is an 86% recovery rate among our patients, a figure far higher than that of other treatments and methods.
During the meeting, family therapies were also shared. Addiction affects the person who suffers from it, but it is a disorder that also ends up impacting the addict’s closest circle. Family members, partners, friends… Therefore, they also need to be informed and made aware of what addiction is. First, because they are a key part of the whole process and can contribute positively to their loved one’s recovery. And second, because they themselves also need professional help even if they are not addicts.
At CCAdicciones, we treat the patient and the family together. The aim is to mitigate the damage and help them understand how addiction alters people emotionally and psychologically. Our mission is to create a space of renewed trust between patient and family, since addiction worsens the relationship and communication between them. For this reason, we offer services that take into account not only the addict, but also their closest circle. We offer family and couples therapy, as well as family mediation and counselling.

CCAdicciones was born as a single inpatient centre, but over the years it has expanded to provide coverage throughout Spain. We currently have more than 25 of our own outpatient centres distributed across Spain: in Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza, Murcia, Gijón… You can view here all our centres.
In all our centres, we guarantee the care process. Care resources include all possible treatment options: outpatient, day centres, hospitalisation, detox clinic, therapeutic apartments and transition after detox towards independent living.
Our network of contacts allows everyone who has undergone detox treatment at the inpatient centre in Tarragona to continue with outpatient treatment once they return home. The recovery process does not end when the person is discharged and can return home. Addiction is a chronic disease; therefore, even if a person has undergone detox, they still require professional follow-up afterwards to continue seeing progress and prevent relapse.
